Queen of Rods Tarot Card Reading

Queen of Rods

Traditional meaning:

This card represents calm, peace, and supportive creative energy. The main character is strong and ready. There is optimism and positive energy.

This card about accepting all life has to give and making forward progress. It can also be about taking on responsibility. Now is not the time to step back or shirk.

In finances, this refers to moderation. In work, this points to a positive flow of energy. It’s all about maintaining that balance.

It’s also a card of leadership. Of managing the outcome.

Be bold. Take that next step.

Aquarian Deck Interpretation:

This character is calm and supportive, quiet and understanding. They hold a rod of strength and can deal with whatever issues come. This staff’s top also becomes a flower. The staff is not just about strength; it’s also about beauty and understanding. Compassion.

In addition to the staff, the queen also holds a ‘world’ which is a sunflower. This is both a symbol of growth and tenderness.

The character wears fine clothing which is understated – not showy. The hair is in a simple braid, functional and beautiful.

The sky is clear. There are no clouds; no storms. Nothing else distracts. It is all about the queen and this chosen path.

Cloister Deck Interpretation:

This card is much more warm and sunny feeling. I adore sunflowers. We do a sunflower art show every year. I love that the Queen is in green and yellow; that they are facing out over the open meadows. I like that this Queen is holding a bundle of staves in her arms. It shows to me that they are willing to do the work to help out the full community.

Hanson-Roberts Deck Interpretation:

This Queen does look calm and relaxed. The cat is snoozing. There’s a lovely sunflower. She is ready to lend a hand with whatever questions come before her. She certainly seems more ‘friendly’ than the first two versions of this card.

Tarot of the Divine Deck Interpretation:

Pele / Hawaii / Hawaiian Deity – Pele is the goddess of volcanoes and fire. She created Hawaii. She is a figure of great power. I’m not sure this is a great match of a calm – warm – gentle card. This would go much better for a card of fiery explosive power. The Queen of Rods is about working behind the scenes quietly and without notice. Pele is about blasting lava high into the sky and representing the power of action.
